Relationships, often complex, are intimate unions between two (or more) entities in which shared memory can be created, recorded, and even altered. Preservation through imagery alters our perception of reality, melding it with the imaginary.

By capturing fragments of remembered moments; an exact time of day, a specific season, how light dances across physical planes of space, I aim to translate these relationships through observation and personal recollection. Often finding solace in the landscape, my work is directly influenced by my surroundings. Though my practice is always evolving, a constant remains the same – my exploration of the relationships between time and space and how it is preserved.

Sensitive and inventive palettes guide my studio practice. Nuances in color and light are distilled to create essential forms, sometimes allowing the viewer to see just enough. I revel in the notion that the electricity of a color or the sudden shift of the palette knife across the canvas has the ability to alter our perception of reality. My finished works are an amalgamation of reality, invention, and recorded memory.
